Midtown Lunch reports thatCanary Sandwich Shop, the city’s favorite Westwood lunch stop for Persianlamb brainmahgzsandwiches, has gone the way of the dodo. In it’s place comes New Anatolia Mediterranean Cafe, a Turkish restaurant servingkette pacha,kofte, and a significant selection of spit-roastedshawarma. Zach Brooks says of the new spot, “they don’t skimp on the meat, and the balance of all the flavors is near perfect.” By the time he’s finishing off a brick of baklava, he’s practically forgotten all about Canary.
