With just two weeks to go until Opening Tap,Philly Beer Weekfestivities are already popping up. The “With Love Beer Garden” at the Four Seasons Hotel will be back again this year. And to celebrate, organizers held a preview event, showcasing this year’s menu and the special collabo-brew from the two “cities of frotherly love,” the Belge Dupont Speciale.

Last year, a lottery was held to see who would win the honor of participating in this collaborative beer. Lottery winner, Chris LaPierre ofIron Hill Breweryjoined Tom Peters ofMonk’s Caféand went to Belgium’s famedBrasserie Dupont. The result?

It’s what Philly Beer Week’s Executive Director, Don Russell, aka ‘Joe six-pack’ described as a “Belgium table beer.”

The easy drinking Belge Dupont Speciale will be on tap and in bottles beginning on June 1, and is definitely worth a go.

Beer Week events are still being added, but as usual, are all listed on thePhilly Beer Week web site.

As for theWith Love Beer Garden, “Meet the Brewer” events are set for each night of the week, from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. from Monday, June 4 - Friday, June 9. The line-up includesVictory Brewing,Philadelphia Brewing Company,Prism,Evil Genius, andRound Guys,Sly Fox BeerandDock Street Brewing Company.

This year’s menu created by theFour Season’sExecutive Chef, Rafael Gonzalez, includes the Beer Garden Burger, Lancaster chicken wings, Port Richmond Keilbasa and Shrimp tacos.
