The third annualS.F. Street Food Festivalthis August will bring with it the second annualNational Street Food Conference, happening at Fort Mason August 21 and 22. The event kicks off with a brunch hosted byTop Chef Masterscontestant and anti-red-meat evangelistSuvir Saran, and will continue with panels and breakout sessions on everything from writing about street food to marketing your own food truck. Also on board for the conference, as SFoodie reports, areGilt Tasteeditor Francis Lam, and Pulitzer Prize-winningLA Weeklycritic Jonathan Gold.
The S.F. Street Food Fest will be happening the day before, August 20, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Folsom St. from 22nd to 26th Streets. Admission is free and all of the food will be priced below $8.
