Following hisdeparturefromnow defunct Adsum, the neighborhood bistro他把生命a little more than a year ago, Matt Levin has kept somewhat of a low profile. But since Zagat listed him last week on its list of“Who to Follow on Twitter”just as word came that he was acontributor to a new book about cooking for dogsand that he andMeme老板David Katz是一种社会合作l corn-collaborative dinner, Levin is poised for a big comeback. And, as you might expect, it includes a new dining venture. “I’ve been kind of taking it easy and laying low,” Levin told Grub Street. “But I’m working on something new for the beginning of next year. I’m not really ready to talk about it right now.”
Though he wouldn’t divulge much information, he assured us that the ambiguous project he’s working on will be a restaurant that he will have an ownership stake in, and it will open in Philadelphia.
For tomorrow’s collaboration with David Katz at Meme, the two chefs are putting together a five-course prix fixe dinner, with a cocktail pairing, that highlights locally-grown corn. “We’re going to go driving around looking for road-side farm stands to buy corn,” Levin said. “And then we’re going to start cooking.”
