There’s a new kid sitting at the Chicago food blogger table this week: say hello toFeast Chicago, NBC’s answer to sites like yours truly, helmed by Carly Fisher of the Chicago Brunch Blog. As our New York siblingpointed outabout their Big Apple counterpart, Feast’s most notable feature is a ranked list of top restaurants, with a score based on “everything from Facebook fan pages to indie and professional reviews.” At the moment, the highest-ranked spots in town, per this idiosyncratic system, areLes Nomades, which has held steady with a rank of 88 since it was first tracked in December, andXoco, whose rank spiked from a “very good” 70 to the “near epic” 85 concurrently with the announcement of theirsoft servetwo weeks ago. Fisher seems to have gotten her sea legs quickly: she’s already got a post up there that headlines theubiquitous Canadian comfort foodas “poutinetang.”
